Divorce mediation

If you would like to organise the consequences of the divorce by means of mutual consultation, you can do so with divorce mediation The mediating lawyer will inform both of you on the consequences of the divorce and counsel you in making agreements to match your wishes, such that they are also legally and fiscally tenable. The agreements are subsequently recorded in the divorce agreement or the termination of cohabitation agreement. Agreements concerning the care and education of minor children are recorded in a parenting plan. Once all the agreements have been recorded, the divorce mediating lawyer will submit a joint application for divorce to the court of law and proceed with the settlement of the divorce. This formal component is effected in writing. The fact that you have already made agreements during the mediation period means that you no longer need to go to court for your divorce.

Our lawyers: Margreet Ruijgrok, Coen van den End and Sabrina de Jong are specialists in this field. Please contact any of the following lawyers with your questions about inheritance law.
