Sabrina de Jong

Sabrina de Jong started to accumulate experience as a legal assistant at a number of law firms specialising in family law and intellectual property rights in 2011. After graduating with a Master’s Degree in Law at VU in Amsterdam, she was sworn in as a lawyer in January 2015. Since then, Sabrina has worked as a lawyer at Advocatenkantoor Ruijgrok and Van Hilten Advocaten & Mediators, both of which are located in Amsterdam.

Committed lawyer with a structured approach

Sabrina is an energetic lawyer, who enjoys working in close collaboration with her clients; committed, structured and thorough. Although she approaches each case with a total commitment to achieving an amicable agreement with the other party, she will not avoid the option of going to court if necessary. She has extensive experience in litigation.

Sabrina knows how to offer her clients structure and clarity during periods of extreme difficulty.

Family law and inheritance law specialist

Sabrina counsels clients in family law and inheritance law. She is a member of the Dutch lawyer’s association, Vereniging van Familie- en Erfrecht Advocaten en Scheidingsmediators (vFAS).

She successfully completed the specialist programme in Inheritance Law in 2020.

After this she started the specialist programme to become a vFAS divorce mediator in 2022. In January 2023, she successfully completed the vFAS Family Law training (JOF) and is now in the process of completing the Mediation Training Program (MO).

For the vFAS, Sabrina is a member of the editorial staff of the platform erven-online.nl, which platform informs consumers about inheritance law issues. She is also an author at Kennisbank Split Online, a platform for exchanging knowledge between professionals within family law and inheritance law.

Domiciled in Amsterdam

Sabrina lives in Amsterdam with her partner, two children and dog.

As of June 12, 2023, Sabrina is on maternity leave. She will return to the office in early October 2023.
